What should be the Keyword Density to get Top Rank in Search?

We have already understood in the previous post what is a keyword and its importance . Today we will know about it in a little more detail that what should be the density of the keyword we are targeting in order to rank it in the search engine.

Keyword Density Basic Introduction

We all know about keywords that these are such internal words with the help of which we develop the SEO of our article/post. And through SEO the visitors to our site increase and our site reaches the top ranks of the search engine.

But SEO does not happen just by mentioning keywords inside the article! But for a good SEO strategy we also have to pay attention to keyword density.

What is Keyword Density?

The meaning of keyword density is, the number of times we mention (write) our keywords in an article is called keyword density.

Keyword density limit

Keyword density depends on how many words you have written in your article. Generally it has been seen that keyword density should never be more than 3%. For example, it is better if you do not use keywords more than 3 times in an article of 100 words.

For example, your blog is on 'weight loss tips' in which 'weight loss tips' is your primary keyword. Now if you write an article on it in 100 words then you should use the keyword 'weight loss tips' 3 times in that article.

If you use keywords more than 3% times then search engines like Google and Bing can put your article/post in the spam list, which will affect your search engine rank. And if the search engine rank is affected then you will not get organic traffic and visitors.

Using the same keyword multiple times is called keyword stuffing , which used to help in getting search results in the old days but now it is of no use because search engines have become very advanced.

For detailed information on where and how to use keywords, you must be aware of On Page SEO .

How does Keyword Density work?

Now imagine that you started writing an article on 'weight loss tips in Hindi' keeping in mind the keyword density criteria of the search engine [ Google ]. Now when a user enters 'Hindi weight loss tips' on Google, then Google's spiders/web crawlers will scan your blog/site and if your article fits in Google's index, then Google will show your article in the search result. He will do it, and that user will visit your blog.

And if you do not follow the keyword density then Google will over lap your post due to which you will lose the search engine ranking. And remember, it will become almost impossible to get back the lost rank. That's why we should always write articles while maintaining keyword density.

So this is how keyword density works!

Conclusion

You can understand where to use keywords in ON Page SEO , but you also have to keep in mind that whatever you are writing should look natural to read. It is not necessary that you target only one keyword. You can write a high quality post by using as many keywords related to your topic as you want.
