Having a successful blog or becoming a successful blogger depends on like factors like seo and traffic, so I have decided to write this article to help you so your blog can be a successful one.

Traffic is one of the most important thing in any website, because if you have a lot of traffic to your website and your website is so ugly and disorder it will not really matter because you will be making a lot of money from the traffic you are getting to your blog likewise if your blog is beautiful and you are not getting any traffic, that when blogging will become frustrating and annoying, now I am not saying you should have an ugly blog I am just give you an example, so now let talk about how you  can get cheap or free traffic to your blog.

HOW TO GET CHEAP TRAFFIC FOR YOUR BLOG

There are three major ways to get cheap traffic.

1. Search Engine

This requires having experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). With a good keyword research, you will be able to write what people are searching for. If you rank well, you will get free traffic without payment. Even if other sources of traffic temporarily shut down, the search engine will always be live.

2. Social media 

This is the second-best way to get traffic. You can create any of the following.

• Twitter account
• Facebook page or group
• Telegram channel or group
• Other social media

Once you grow the page or group, you can always post your contents there to drive traffic to your blog. Remember, it takes between 1 month and 6 months to get a great audience in the group.

3. Forums

Forums, to me, are the third-best way of driving traffic to blogs. You could open an account in a forum and start getting followers. Some examples are Quora, Nairaland, Reddit.

The only major disadvantage of forums is that they frequently update their policies, which makes it difficult for some users to survive. They have strict policies. An example is Nairaland.

Unlike Facebook, you can post a sentence on your page or group. But some forums require that you post relevant contents or long posts; otherwise, your link will be banned.

2. SEO

SEO(Search Engine Optimization) is a very broad subject but in this article I will only talk about backlinks and ways you can source for long tail keywords

Sourcing for a long-tail keyword is one of the greatest strategies for ranking. There are four main tools you should use to source for long-tail keywords.

1. AHREF keyword research tool

Many people are underestimating this tool. Sometimes the keyword shown might no longer be receiving traffic. This is because that keyword is a trending keyword, and you should use Google Trends to check if the keyword is active.

AHREF keyword research tool allows you to view the details of up to 10 keyword results displayed. You can still copy those that are hidden and search for them again. I laugh when I see struggling bloggers looking for or buying premium AHREF.

Most of them think that it will automatically make you rank. It won't still show you if the keyword is active unless you use Google Trends. Also, it's your own brain that you will use to enter a keyword for it to bring out the result.

Mr. A, who loves cooking, might be searching for 'ingredients to cook rice' with the keywords 'Ingredients cook' and 'ingredients rice'. This is correct. Forget the 'To'. Once there are keywords related to it, it will appear. Imagine if there's a good keyword that says 'Ingredients for rice' and because you entered 'ingredients to cook rice', it will never display.

So, that is one of the best ways to source for long-tail keywords.

Semrush (10 per day)
Ubbersuggest and (3 per day)
Answer the public (it has its own limit).

2. Backlinks

Backlink building is one of the most important and essential activities in blogging. If you go through this content line by line, you will learn how to get backlinks without payment.

1. Spy on other blogs

This is not a bad method to build backlinks. When you spied, you did not remove the other blogger's link. You just need to find out where the bloggers added their links. Then add yours.
